In Sanatan scriptures, especially in Valmiki Ramayan and Mahabharat, a description of the use of a great weapon called Brahmastra is found in many places. In fact, according to Sanatan scriptures and Dhanurved, Missiles, and Arms are being used in war for thousands of years. Weapons are called missiles when they can be thrown and weapons are called arms when you hold them in your hands. Spears, Arrows, etc. are Missiles while swords, bows, mace, etc. are Arms (Place shots or PNGs of Missiles and Arms)
These arms and missiles can be made by humans and by gods as well. Commonly found missiles and arms such as bows, arrows, maces, swords, etc. have been manufactured for the army by the skilled artisans of the state.
But one category of weapons is called Divyastra. These are created by gods, sages, etc. Bhagwan Vishwakarma is generally believed to be the maker of weapons. Such mantras can be invoked on any ordinary object and turn it into a divine weapon. These can be called divine weapons created by mantras. Brahmastra is not a nuclear bomb or a weapon kept in a quiver like an arrow. Rather, such weapons can be made by chanting mantras on any object.
